Objective:
Create ultra-premium business cards that reflect the exclusivity and luxury of The Luxe Developers brand
Brief
The client wanted business cards that truly reflected the name “Luxe” with an exclusive and premium finish. The requirement was for a thick, high-end card with no conventional printing on the front. Instead, all information—including company details, personal information, and a QR code was to be executed entirely in rose gold foil.
The reverse side featured a solid corporate color block, with the logo foiled and embossed on top to create a layered, dimensional effect. Due to the heavy use of foil and embossing, we proposed a double-pasted construction for added thickness and structural stability, complemented by rounded corners for a refined finish.
Challenges
Blade marks appeared on the edges while rounding the thick, layered cards
Ensuring the foiled QR code remained fully scannable after finishing
Solution
To eliminate blade marks, we switched the lamination from soft-touch to satin, which provided a cleaner and sharper edge during corner rounding. The QR code size was carefully optimized to maintain seamless scannability while preserving the minimalist, luxury layout of the card.
Outcome
The final product delivered a perfect balance of elegance, craftsmanship, and functionality. The cards met the client’s premium expectations and have been extremely well received. We have proudly continued producing repeat orders for The Luxe Developers over the past three years.
