Brief
Jazoory, a prominent e-commerce platform operating across the GCC and MENA region, was looking to partner with a print service provider capable of producing personalized Arabic books on demand. The requirement was to integrate printing into their value chain with fast production timelines while maintaining high quality and accuracy for each order. As every book was customized for an individual customer, the printing partner needed to ensure precision, speed, and reliability throughout the production and delivery process.
Challenges
- Each book contained personalized / variable content, making every copy unique.
- Orders were generated through e-commerce with no minimum quantity, resulting in unpredictable volumes.
- Multiple book formats and specifications needed to be managed efficiently.
- Since every book was personalized, there was virtually no margin for error in production.
- Ensuring timely dispatch and accurate delivery to the correct customer was critical.
Solution
To address these challenges, we worked closely with the team at Jazoory to develop a streamlined and practical production workflow. After reviewing the product options and operational requirements, we recommended a set of standardized yet flexible print specifications that allowed customers to retain personalization choices while ensuring efficiency in production. Clear production timelines were established, including a daily cut-off system where orders placed before 12 noon would be printed and dispatched the following day. Urgent orders could also be flagged and prioritized when necessary.
In addition, we implemented an automated internal system that allowed orders to be seamlessly picked up for production while providing live status updates to the client. This system enabled complete visibility into each stage of the process from order receipt and print production to finishing and dispatch allowing the client to track the progress of every personalized book in real time.
