Objective:
To print a college yearbook at the end of each term,creating a lasting keepsake for graduating students.
Brief
DESS required printing of a college yearbook twice every year for their students graduate. The books are designed by students, for students.
The typical size is A4, with a print run between 150–200 copies. The book needs to have a hard cover, more like a coffee table book, as it serves as a memory for students.
The timelines are always tight, as content,photos and details continues to be updated until the very last moment, with distribution required just a few days after final submission.
Challenges
- Artwork created by students unfamiliar with print-ready file requirements
- Ensuring correct margins, bleed, and crop marks across multiple files
- Managing extremely tight, last-minute production timelines

We begin by thoroughly checking all submitted files and making the necessary corrections,adjusting margins, bleed, and crop marks to ensure they are print-ready.
To streamline the process, we also created a ready-to-use template that students can follow while designing, reducing errors and saving time.
From a production standpoint, we pre-book dedicated slots for DESS to ensure timelines are always met, even under pressure.
Our prepress process is handled with great attention to detail, ensuring that the final output meets both quality expectations and deadlines.
